Getting Started As A Novelist
Saturday, 16 November 2019
This workshop is for you if you are starting out as a writer, if you've always wanted to write a novel but don't know how to begin or if you've written the beginnings of a novel but it's in the drawer.
It's easy to think that being a reader means you know how to write a novel, but there's much more to it than that.
On this full-day, intensive workshop, you will learn how to navigate the journey to becoming a published novelist, from first words to first draft.
This course is led by author Susanna Beard, whose psychological thrillers Dare to Remember and The Truth Waits are published by Legend Press. Her third novel is well under way. She will be supported by writer Jan Stannard.
The day will include:
plotting and planning
the three-act structure
writing vivid settings
point of view
time and narrative
the experience of being a writer
£99 including tea, coffee, cold drinks and cake.
Marlow has lots of cafes and pubs to visit during the workshop lunch break.
Below is some feedback about this workshop from previous participants.
